Experience Authentic Cultural Cuisine

Love this experience, the Ethiopian coffee culture is definitely something to experience. I had no idea that they burned spiritual residents like frankincense and myrrh to cleanse out your spirit and aura before and while you were drinking the coffee. I'm not even a coffee drinker, and I drink it straight and I enjoyed it I didn't even add any sugar. Customer service is great, and the food was pretty tasty.

Being gluten sensitive is not too hard here in Addis Ababa. Much of the food is gluten free. Don’t know about celiac levels of sensitivity and cross contamination. But Hilary, a member of the family run restaurant, knew a lot and was able to give the rundown on all their dishes. She spoke perfect English and was a very attentive host. I ate here two days in a row to try some more of their delicious food. If you are visiting Addis, this is a great value and comfortable place to go. I’ve had -Shiro (chickpea stew) -Doro Wat (chicken in spiced berbere sauce, eaten with gluten-free injera or rice) -Fasting Kitfo -Fasting Gomen Kitfo

I ordered the mixed fasting dish. It was the tastiest food i had in one week in Addis. I loved the texture of the soy pieces, the sauce was delicious and just the right level of spiciness. The food arrived quickly and the service was attentive. Highly recommended.
